The Post That Opens With Women and Closes with Women – Tar Heel Memories
While on the topic of the Tar Heel Drive in, I might as well have some fun (especially after a very serious subject). Here’s some lovably sleazy ads from “High Point’s Finest” Drive In that was one of the Exploitation and Sexploitation centers of North Carolina. Reportedly closed in 1985, the Drive In was one of the many cases of turning to Exploitation and Sexploitation to keep the business alive, especially after having to close it down due to a storm in early 1975 (and you know how much it is to re-build a business!), and they gave it all they got.
11-22-74, using the iconic Young Seducers girl for three films not related to it!
1-26-74, a good promotion of Andy Milligan’s classic
11-8-74 – the third film was of course the Big Snatch!
11-25-74…and One-Eye’s Here!!!
2-8-71 – A Something Weird Video fan’s night out with the time machine!
12-4-72, Have to post this again!
3-22-75, for those who missed this the first time, here’s this wonderful Shock Show ad! With the Devil Mask!!!
8-9-75 – Dial a Degenerate! Certainly aiming for the audience right!
6-14-74 – There she is again!!!
5-24-74 – Still is a mystery to me that they did something original when the film had one of the greatest visions for an ad, Christina Lindberg!
9-13-74, The classic!
8-16-74 – An ad that kind of makes me think of Blur’s Country House video!
8-9-74, One of the theaters that did not censor the ad!
9-20-75 Shock Show ad featuring the Orgy of the Living Dead triple feature show!!!
3-12-76, With Ray Dennis Steckler’s Teenage Hustler – I had to include the Martin Twin’s ad for Larry Buchanan’s flick, too!
Lived up to the title – started with women and ended with women!
