Female Animal Trailer

With all of the interest that Female Animal has on this blog, here’s the trailer. From my guess, this is an early one clearly aimed for the NYC grindhouses, with a style that echoes Independent International and Hemisphere trailers of the day. After Cinemation closed shop in 1976, Independent International got the Distribution to this film along with their Inga films and would re-release it around 1978.

“Are you man enough? Go see Female Animal!” screamed the in-the-air advertising used by small planes. I guess I’m “Man Enough” as I have seen the film about 7 times since getting the DVD a long time back…and that’s not counting the times I saw it with Commentary on!

One of Cinemation’s early successes, this Jerry Gross film disguised as a foreign production complete with a number of fictitious companies mentioned in the credits opened in NYC on Jan. 23, 1970. The Music is by Clay Pitts.
