Hello To All!

Hello!

Hello!

The interest in writing about interesting music, film, and art has led me to try out a Blog. I hope that this will be a great happening. Hello to all who have met me either on The Web (forums such as the ones at Gorezone and The Deuce Grindhouse Cinema Database), and gatherings of fans of Something Weird Videoand, most importantly, friends who have been with me even before I got my first computer.

As for the world of Film, I get into Alucarda, Suspiria, A Clockwork Orange, The Beyond, The City of the Living Dead, The Blind Dead series, The Seven Blood Stained Orchids, Night of the Living Dead, Daughters of Darkness (w/Andrea Rau), the Diabolical Dr. Z, Dario Argento’s Opera, many Documentaries…many B-Films…the work of Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Jess Franco, Joe Sarno (Inga), Jean Rollin (The Shiver of the Vampires, The Grapes of Death), Lee Frost and Bob Cresse (Mondo Bizarro), HG Lewis (Blood Feast, The Wizard of Gore), Radley Metzger (The Lickerish Quartet)…the first two Hellraiser films, The Mansion of Madness, Deadbeat at Dawn, The Last House on Dead End Street, Nosferatu, To the Devil…a Daughter, Something Weird, Psych-Out, Flesh for Frankenstein and Blood for Dracula, Wild Angels, Olga’s House of Shame, The School of the Holy Beast, Virgins From Hell, the Night Porter, Salon Kitty, Fando and Lis, Mondo Cane, and other wild worlds
Music-wise my interests range from The Velvet Underground (Especially with Nico!), Scott Walker (…including Walker Brothers songs form the 60’s and the Nite Flights album), The Sonics, The 13’th Floor Elevators, Rialto, The Stooges, The Cramps, Black Metal, Doom Metal, Christian Death with Rozz Williams, Soundtracks by Goblin, Joy Division, Actus, Limbo, NON, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, The Rolling Stones from 1965-1970, David Bowie, The Damned, music used in films like Mondo Cane (Riz Ortolani); De Sade’s Justine (Bruno Nicholi); The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Ennio Morricone); and Mondo Bizarro.

I love creating music on the computer, reading, watching wild films as well as interesting Documentaries and Mondos, Photography, Reading plenty of excellent, historical, daring and brilliant books, maps – The more detailed the better – listening to music when I’m not creating my own, and checking up on anything interesting.

My interests include the history of films, especially the world of Horror and B-Films while trying to know if the lesser-known films had some strange or reportable story of it’s original run. With so much interesting stuff that was going on in the days before VHS, it’s good to know what happened…and I can be open to suggestions on reviews in Film and Music.

That’s all at the moment – Just an introduction to my world.
